Meet the Founder

Yoga Habana was established by Alan Friedman, who directs fundraising for Fred Rogers Production, a nonprofit producer of children’s educational media. He previously ran the Institute for Social Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University. He is married to Jennifer Friedman, a physical therapist, is the father of two teenage daughters, and holds degrees from CMU and UC Berkeley. He has been fascinated by Latin America, and Cuba in particular, ever since his first Spanish class in eighth grade and has traveled extensively in the region.
